Objective
The Program Advisory Committee (PAC) aims to foster a culture of quality in academic practices and ensure that academic programs remain aligned with evolving industry requirements and technological advancements.
The committee supports the department in achieving its vision by continuously reviewing academic activities, strengthening industry interaction, and incorporating relevant industry-driven components into the curriculum.
The PAC consists of the Head of the Department (HoD), senior faculty members, the Dean (Academics), the NBA Coordinator, faculty members, student representatives, alumni members, and industry experts. The committee periodically reviews departmental activities and provides suggestions for continuous improvement in the teaching–learning process.
Functions of the Program Advisory Committee
The PAC provides guidance to the department in the following areas:
Academic Planning

Formation and revision of the Vision and Mission of the department.

Development and refinement of Program Educational Objectives (PEOs).

Alignment of PEOs with departmental mission statements.

Definition and evaluation of Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs).
Teaching–Learning Enhancement

Improving the quality of teaching and learning processes.

Encouraging the inclusion of advanced topics beyond the syllabus.

Bridging curriculum gaps through expert lectures and additional laboratory experiments.
Industry Interaction

Strengthening Industry–Institute collaboration.

Encouraging industry participation in curriculum development and training activities.

Promoting initiatives to enhance student employability.
Student Development

Encouraging student projects, internships, and value-added courses.

Supporting skill development and entrepreneurship activities.

Promoting participation in technical competitions, paper presentations, and innovation projects.
Faculty Development

Encouraging faculty to attend and organize workshops, seminars, and Faculty Development Programs (FDPs).

Promoting research publications and academic contributions.

Supporting the development of innovative laboratory models and teaching methodologies.
Program Evaluation

Monitoring the attainment of Program Outcomes (POs), Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs), and Program Educational Objectives (PEOs).

Evaluating program effectiveness and suggesting necessary improvements.

Preparing periodic reports on departmental progress and academic activities.
Stakeholder Interaction
The PAC regularly interacts with students, faculty members, alumni, and industry experts to ensure that academic programs remain relevant and effective. These interactions help in aligning educational practices with industry expectations and global standards.
