Department Achievements and Activities

Technical Events:

​

On 25th February 2023, Mr. Md Amish, Mr. Satyam, and Mr, Suriya Mani are three brilliant students from the Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering (EE) departments of our institution participated in the National Level Science Exhibition at Sityog Institute of Technology in Aurangabad, Bihar, with their project titled “Design and Development of a rover using Theo Johnson Mechanism.” The exhibition was organized for senior secondary level students, and the team from our institution won the 1st prize cash award of Rs. 11,000.

 

Sports Events:


In Annual sports meet conducted by GEMS Polytechnic College on 15th February 2023 to 17th February 2023 held on GPC ground our department won the Overall Championship. Our department student Mr. Satyam Kumar won three Athlete games and got the Overall championship award

 

  • One student project (Mechanical Engineering) Applied for the student project proposal scheme 2019-2020 funded by Bihar Council for Science and technology.

  • 14 students of our present final year got placed through campus placement in KP Reliable Technical India PVT.Ltd.

  • The Mechanical engineering labs were developed and furnished using wall charts and by marking yellow guidelines on the lab floor.​​

Activities:

  • Started training the Mechanical engineering students in the second and third in Computer-aided design (CAD) and 3D Modeling during the academic year 2019-20 onwards.

  • COMPUTER NUMERICAL CONTROL (CNC) TRAINING
    Facilitated by Mr Willi Gorr from 19 / 09 / 2019 to 25/ 10 / 2019. 15 Students from third-year mechanical Engineering were benefited from the program.

  • As part of the curriculum for the third year fifth semester syllabus “PROFESSIONAL PRACTICES-V” the department of Mechanical Engineering, of GEMS Polytechnic College organized a one day Industrial visit to SONE WESTERN LINK CANAL H.E. PROJECT, Dehri On Sone, Rohtas District, Bihar on the 23rd of October 2019, a total 15 students of third-year Mechanical Engineering along with 2 faculty members took part in the industrial visit.

  • As part of the curriculum for the third year sixth semester syllabus “REFRIGERATION AND AIRCONDITIONING” the department of Mechanical Engineering, of GEMS Polytechnic College organized a one-day Industrial visit to VOLTAS SERVICE CENTRE, Dehri On Sone, Rohtas District, Bihar on the 26th of February 2020. 15 students of third-year Mechanical Engineering along with 2 faculty members took part in the industrial visit.
